Our PPF is mainly made of TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane), with TPU being the premium choice for its self-healing and durability.
Its typical structure has 3-4 layers. The top layer is a transparent, scratch-resistant coating that enables self-healing via heat. The core layer is TPU/PVC, providing impact resistance and flexibility to fit curved surfaces. Below it is an adhesive layer, ensuring strong, bubble-free bonding to vehicle paint. Some PPF adds a protective liner layer, removed before installation.
TPU-based PPF outperforms PVC in longevity and eco-friendliness, widely used for automotive paint protection.
TPU quality is evaluated through tensile and puncture tests. Tensile tests measure its elongation at break and tensile strength, reflecting durability under stretching. Puncture tests assess resistance to penetration, indicating toughness. High-quality TPU shows excellent elongation, strong tensile force, and good puncture resistance, ensuring reliability for applications like films or hoses.
