Change The Colour, Keep The Original Paint

A repaint is permanent, expensive and it follows the car forever. This film works the other way round. The coloured layer sits on top of the bodywork, so the owner gets a new look this season and the factory paint stays untouched underneath, ready to come back the day the film is removed.

Under that colour layer the film is still a protective wrap. It takes stone chips, trolley knocks, bird lime and strong sun, and small marks in the surface level themselves out again when the panel gets warm.

Why The Film Is Built On Aliphatic TPU

Two families of polyurethane are used for wraps, and they behave differently in sunlight. Aliphatic material keeps its clarity and its colour far longer, which is the reason it is used here instead of the cheaper aromatic grade that tends to yellow and stiffen.

The same material gives the film its stretch. A single sheet can be pulled around a mirror base, a door handle recess or a bumper return without going white at the edge or cracking a few weeks later, and it stays soft enough to work at normal workshop temperature.

The Colour Reacts To Warmth

The colour layer is not a flat paint film. It carries pigments that respond to temperature, so the shade deepens or lightens as the panel warms up in the sun, and settles back when the car cools down in the evening. It is the kind of detail a customer notices on the forecourt, and it is very hard to copy with a normal vinyl.
